There's no easy way around it you have to find the information about these grant programs. They are just like finding needles in a haystack - difficult but not impossible. I do know that there are some grant programs especially targeted towards minorities that want to start their own businesses. It may help you to know that one woman that got this kind of grant ($20,000) was able to start her own record lable. So there are grant programs out there geared towards helping people start their own business. I should warn you though that more likely than not that you will have to at least submit a business plan. This lets them know that you are serious about what it is that you want to do.
